Biography

RoseMarie Swanger is in her second term in office as representative for the 102nd Legislative District, Lebanon County, in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.  She is currently serving on the following committees: Aging and Older Adult Services, Gaming Oversight and Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness, where she is a member of the subcommittee on Military and Veterans Facilities. Additionally, Swanger sits on the House Republican Policy Committee's Task Force on Energy.

RoseMarie is a 1963 graduate of South Lebanon High School and attended Thompson Institute in Harrisburg. She also completed several management courses at Lebanon Valley College between 1981 to 1983.

Prior to her election to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, RoseMarie served as Lebanon County Commissioner from 1984 to 2004.

Rep. Swanger is an ex officio board member of PROBE (Potential Re-entry Opportunities through Business and Education) and is a board member of the South Central Assembly for Effective Governance. She also serves on the Allocations and Review Committee of the United Way of Lebanon County. RoseMarie is a senior member and past president of the Kiwanis Club of Lebanon

In addition to her office in the State Capitol, RoseMarie maintains an office in North Lebanon Township.

The 102nd Legislative District includes the boroughs of
Cornwall, Jonestown, Myerstown and Richland, and the townships of Bethel, East Hanover, Heidelberg, Jackson, North Lebanon, South Lebanon, West Cornwall, Union, Swatara, North Annville, Millcreek and West Lebanon.

RoseMarie resides in Jonestown with her husband, Leonard. They have one daughter and a grandson. The Swangers are members of Hebron United Methodist Church.
